The SPP Group Organizational Chart lists SPP's groups and their respective chairs and secretaries and this information and is included on each groups page with a list of their upcoming meetings.


Stakeholder Center

The SPP Stakeholder Center includes various tools for all kinds of SPP stakeholders.. This page offers educational opportunities from the SPP Customer Training department, customer care from the Customer Relations department, direct support from the Compliance department, and mechanisms through which stakeholders may provide valuable feedback regarding the direction and prioritization of SPP's work. Access the Customer Relations link to submit an inquiry through the Request Management System or to learn more about SPP and how to become a member. From the Customer Training link, you can enroll in educational opportunities from the SPP Learning Center. Submit a revision request to enhance SPP policy by clicking on the SPP Revision Requests link. Follow the Comprehensive Roadmap link to learn about SPP’s active strategic initiatives and how you may submit your own strategic initiative candidates. The Stakeholder Prioritization page explains the process by which SPP stakeholders provide input regarding the prioritization of SPP’s projects, enhancements and revision requests as they move toward implementation.


SPP Engineering

SPP Engineering is responsible for developing SPP's regional transmission-expansion plans; directing and monitoring construction of approved transmission-expansion projects; administering SPP's generator interconnection and long-term transmission services; and performing the Planning Coordinator function in accordance with North American Electric Reliability Corporation reliability standards. On this page you will find information on compliance and advanced studies, transmission planning and services, economic planning, generator interconnection, modeling, project tracking, reliability planning and resource adequacy.


Markets and Operations

SPP began developing new energy markets in 2009 to bring additional regional benefit to its members. The Integrated Marketplace launched in 2014, and includes a Day-Ahead Market with Transmission Congestion Rights, a Reliability Unit Commitment process, a Real-Time Balancing Market replacing the EIS Market and the incorporation of price-based Operating Reserve procurement. The Integrated Marketplace also consolidated the SPP footprint's 16 legacy Balancing Authorities into an SPP Balancing Authority. On this page you will find information on advancing technology, current grid conditions, the SPP IM Portal, Market Monitoring Unit, operating reliability, and outage coordination. 


SPP Real-Time Price Contour Map ("PCM")

This map shows the real time locational marginal price (“LMP”) of wholesale electricity in the SPP footprint at different settlement locations every five minutes. The PCM also show the energy component, congestion, and losses at the settlement locations, day-ahead pricing and the delta, generation, load, and interchange trend with other wholesale power markets.


Generation Mix

The SPP Integrated Marketplace Generation Mix is a pie chart view of the current generation mix percentage by fuel type for the entire market. The pie chart is updated every five minutes.


Forecast vs. Actual

The SPP Integrated Marketplace Forecast vs. Actual graph displays the actual wind, actual solar and actual load, updated every five minutes and represent an integrated five-minute average. The intent of the display to is to show the latest forecast data SPP has in the system at any given time.
