Community Epidemiology

The state of Oklahoma has been in a downward health trend since the 1990’s, until recently. Through the efforts of the state and county health departments, state and local governments and individual communities the health of Oklahomans is looking up. The links on the left provide information to help communities identify health priorities and develop health improvement interventions.

Community Epidemiology & Evaluation Unit

The Community Epidemiology and Evaluation Unit provides analytical and evaluative support for a variety of program areas including:

  • Community Health Administration
  • Child Guidance
  • Children First
  • Dental Health
  • Oklahoma Child Abuse Prevention
  • Nursing Services
  • County Health Departments
  • Health Education & Promotion
  • Minority Health
  • Office of Primary Care & Rural Health
  • Turning Point

In addition, Community Epidemiology & Evaluation works with county health departments and community partnerships to assess the needs of local communities by providing survey development and implementation and data analysis.
