APA WF 23-24 Update Policy for Prosthetic Hearing Implants and Audiology Services
The proposed policy changes are Permanent Rules. The proposed policy changes were presented at the Tribal Consultation held on October 31, 2023. The proposed rule changes will be presented at a Public Hearing on January 8, 2024. Additionally, this proposal is scheduled to be presented to the Medical Advisory Committee on January 4, 2024, and the OHCA Board of Directors on January 17, 2024.

Under the summary the verbiage is "prosthetic hearing implants and ocular prosthetics" however on page 5 (23) "... including ocular prosthetic and cochlear implants" I would propose this section should also state "prosthetic hearing implants and ocular prosthetics" as there are other prosthetic hearing implants such as auditory osseointegrated implants that are included in coverage
...
In line with my previous comment, propose change to verbiage on pg 8 b 2 to "prosthetic hearing implants and ocular prosthetics"

Thank you for your suggestion. OHCA has revised the proposed rule revisions to say “prosthetic hearing implants and ocular prosthetics”.
