Public Access Counselor Complaint
The Attorney General’s Public Access Counselor Unit (PAC) was created to safeguard the public’s right to transparency and openness in government. If you have requested records from a public body or official and believe that request was wrongfully denied, please provide the information requested below. Once received, the PAC will conduct an initial review of the merits of the complaint. If the complaint is unfounded, the PAC will provide you an explanation, but will take no further action. Meritorious complaints will be forwarded to the public body or official for review and response.
