New hires to the state accrue 15 days per year (120 hours). Each pay period you will accrue 4.615 hours of annual leave.

Each year the Governor designates the holidays through Executive Orders. This is a typical list of holidays (Executive Order).

You will be paid biweekly. See the following pay schedule (add link-there is no link but I did attach the document). This would be a great document to add to the HealthHub and then link it to our HR Website FAQs.

First of the following month after the date of hire.

Typically retirement deductions begin the first of the following month in which you were hired. If you are returning to state employment and previously participated in the OEPRS retirement plan, the deductions will begin immediately. If you are unsure if you are an OPERS participant, you may reach out to HumanResources@health.ok.gov and we will be happy to research further.
