SPARK Early Career Special Education Conference Coming This July📣

The Oklahoma Special Education Conference is excited to host the SPARK Early Career Special Education Conference at the Oklahoma City Convention Center, July 27–30. This four‑day event is designed to equip new special educators with the tools, confidence, and community they need to thrive in their early years of teaching. Each day features a blend of keynote speakers, SPARK‑specific training, and opportunities to participate in the broader Special Education Conference sessions.

The conference kicks off on July 27 with a full day of early‑career–focused professional learning. On July 28–29, participants will engage in SPARK training alongside free‑choice sessions from the statewide SPED Conference. The event concludes on July 30 with a targeted session, Building a Strong Behavior System: From Tier 1 Foundations to Targeted Supports, designed to strengthen classroom systems and student outcomes.

Educators are encouraged to register by scanning the QR code on the flyer. Attendees should also check with their supervisors about Project 619 and 613 funds, which may help cover travel costs. This conference is an excellent opportunity for early‑career special educators to build skills, connect with peers, and ignite their passion for the work ahead
