Emergency Certification Portal UPDATE: July 1, 2026

The Emergency Request portal will open in OECS for the full month of July (1st-31st) to accept requests for the August 20th State Board of Education (SBE) meeting. Renewals and new requests will be accepted during this window to ensure sufficient time for districts and teachers to complete the process before the school year begins. Emergencies approved at the August meeting will be effective July 1st once issued.

Fee Change: Career Development Program Provisional Certificate

As part of the upcoming migration to a modernized certification system, the fee for a provisional certificate issued through the Career Development Program will move from $30 to $50. This adjustment brings the certificate into alignment with the $50 fee already in place for other provisional and standard certificates. Additional details on the migration timeline and the effective date of the new fee will follow in upcoming communications.
