Tours of OSBI's Forensic Science Center
In the spring of 2008, the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation Central Laboratory relocated its operations to the state-of-the-art Forensic Science Center in Edmond, Oklahoma. This transition enabled the OSBI to enhance its capabilities in forensic evidence examination across various disciplines, including:
- Forensic Biology
- Controlled Substances
- Toxicology
- Trace Evidence
- Firearms and Toolmarks
- Latent Evidence
- Evidence Receiving
In recent years, OSBI services have expanded as technology has advanced, now including Rapid DNA and FastTRAX to provide more timely investigative leads, as well as in-house Investigative Genetic Genealogy research services for qualified cases.
In addition to the Forensic Science Center in Edmond, OSBI maintains several facilities statewide to ensure convenient evidence delivery options for law enforcement partners, with one of these locations also offering laboratory services in the areas of Forensic Biology and Controlled Substances.
To educate the public and stakeholders about laboratory testing capabilities and services, the OSBI offers limited tours of the Forensic Science Center to schools, civic groups, and citizens upon request. These tours are offered on the 2nd Wednesday and the 3rd Tuesday of each month (excluding State holidays) and last about one hour. OSBI lab analysts guide participants through the hallways of the OSBI Forensic Science Center, where they will view displays related to the different disciplines represented in the OSBI laboratory system and be given highlights about the work performed by each unit. Please view the OSBI Lab Tours Calendar for availability*.
If you are interested in touring the OSBI Forensic Science Center laboratory, please submit a completed request form to either of the following addresses:
Tour Requests
OSBI-FSC

Videos are easily accessed by visiting the discipline-specific pages available on the OSBI website, or by clicking on the linked discipline listed in the first paragraph.
We would like to have your feedback. If you have recently attended a tour, please feel free to tell us how we did! Completion of an OSBI laboratory feedback form is greatly appreciated and will be used to help us improve our future tours.
