Oklahoma Missing Persons Clearinghouse

To report a missing person, contact your local law enforcement agency to file an official missing person report and have a missing person entry made into the National Crimes Information Center (NCIC) database. 

The Oklahoma Missing Person Clearinghouse assists law enforcement agencies and families of missing persons with available resources to help locate missing persons.  The Clearinghouse is maintained within the Crimes Information Unit of the OSBI’s Investigative Services Division and is the state liaison with the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC). Additional units closely involved are the OSBI's Cold Case and Victims Services Units, the OSBI Forensic Science Center, and several partnering agencies pictured below.

In November 2019, the Oklahoma Legislature passed Francine’s Law which redefined the definition of a missing person and mandated the entry of that missing person into the National Missing and Unidentified Persons System (NamUs) within 30 days.  For more information on Francine Frost and Francine’s Law go to the “Francine's Law" section.

Francine’s Law (HB 2640) is named after Francine Frost who went missing in 1981 from a Tulsa grocery store. Her remains were found two years later, but it took more than 30 years before they were identified as Francine’s.
