The Statewide Programs team drives collaboration across Oklahoma’s public libraries with largescale, grant-funded initiatives that address critical community needs. From early literacy, health literacy, and digital literacy to workforce development and civic engagement, this team aids libraries in delivering programs that enrich lives and strengthen communities.

Youth Services

Youth Services helps libraries support children and teens through early literacy initiatives, learning activities, and statewide programs. We provide resources, guidance, and training to help libraries connect with young readers, support families, and encourage a lifelong love of learning.

Digital Literacy

Our program supports libraries with grants and resources for digital skills building and access to technology, enabling them to help bridge the digital divide and ensure all community members can participate fully in our ever-increasingly connected global society.

Health Literacy

Our health literacy program supports libraries through grants and resources as they empower Oklahomans with the knowledge and resources they need to make informed decisions about their health and well-being.

Workforce Development

We support libraries in their workforce development efforts through sharing resources and connections to essential information, enabling them to serve as vital hubs for career growth and economic opportunities.

Citizenship and Civic Engagement

The program helps libraries support community members on their path to U.S. citizenship. They also encourage civic participation through voter information, community programs, and opportunities to engage fully in civic life.

Adult education and literacy development is a cornerstone to lifelong learning. To see a full list of local providers and the specialized services they offer, please visit the websites of Oklahoma Department of Career and Technology Education or Oklahoma Literacy Coalition.
