The Office of Accreditation ensures that Oklahoma schools meet state standards while promoting equitable, high-quality education for all students. We guide schools and districts through the accreditation process, offering resources and support to foster continuous improvement. Our work helps schools create meaningful learning environments that prepare students for success in a democratic society.

The Office of School Governance supports the leaders who shape Oklahoma’s schools by providing training and professional development for school board members, first-year superintendents, and district administrators. We help education leaders build the skills and confidence needed to serve their communities effectively. By promoting ethical, transparent, and accountable decision-making, we strengthen leadership and ensure student success across the state.

The Office of School Choice ensures families have access to high-quality public education while supporting a range of alternative learning options. Empowering families with educational options is a cornerstone of our work. We manage and support programs that expand access to charter schools, virtual charter schools, homeschools, and private schools ensuring compliance while fostering innovation, equity, and local control in education.

The Office of School Safety and Security helps districts create safe, prepared learning environments for all students. We provide training for school resource officers, new principals, and superintendents, support threat assessments, and coordinate emergency tools like the RAVE panic button.
