Sampling and Analysis
The SELS treats all cyanobacteria blooms as an emergency. However, if it has the potential to impact a public water supply, ensuring public water supply sources are safe is our first priority and may limit our capability of serving private inquires. The SELS does have the capability to analyze private water samples as long as there is capacity. Please call ahead to ensure the lab has resources available to analyze your sample. If we are not able to analyze at this time, below are other laboratories that can provide analysis for samples collected by private entities. If using an alternative lab, be sure to call ahead to see what their sampling and submital requirements are.
