Healthy Incentive Grants: School Districts

Healthy schools make it easier for Oklahoma students, teachers and staff to build healthy habits. TSET Healthy Incentive Grants provide funding to eligible public school districts and individual school sites for projects that support tobacco-free environments, nutrition, physical activity and employee wellness.

Choose the funding track that applies to your organization.

School Districts

Public school districts may apply for funding based on total district enrollment.

Funding is available for:

• Districts with 2,000 students or fewer: Up to $50,000
• Districts with 2,001 students or more: Up to $80,000

Funding amounts are based on the district’s enrollment using the most recent Oklahoma State Department of Education data. No matching funds are required.

Individual School Sites

Individual school sites may apply only if their school district received a TSET Healthy Incentive Grant during FY26.

Funding is available for:

• School sites with 600 students or fewer: Up to $25,000
• School sites with 601 students or more: Up to $40,000

Funding amounts are based on the individual school site’s enrollment using the most recent Oklahoma State Department of Education data. No matching funds are required.

Application Period

Applications for both funding tracks are open Jan. 5 – Feb. 4, 2027.

Applications must be submitted by 4 p.m. CT on Feb. 4, 2027.

Applications open Sept. 9, 2026.

School districts can start preparing now by reviewing and updating their wellness and tobacco-free campus policies. Two free Oklahoma-specific policy builders in the Healthier Generation Action Center walk district teams through the process and help create policy documents aligned with Oklahoma’s sample policies.
