Annual Report & Dashboard

As of its creation on July 1, 2024, the Statewide Charter Schools Board has the statutory charge and responsibility to produce an annual report on the status of Oklahoma charter schools.

Its Annual Report of Oklahoma Charter Schools is unlike previous versions historically compiled by the Oklahoma State Department of Education that were published as static reports, and it marks a significant evolution in state agency public reporting. This is because it is a dynamic, interactive data visualization platform that allows policymakers and the public to explore and compare key performance indicators across all charter schools over the past three academic years for which the most current information is available.

The goal of the annual report is to enhance transparency, support policy analysis and foster discussions on best practices within Oklahoma’s public education system. The report can be found at the link below and includes an Executive Summary and short tutorials on how to engage with the interactive data visualization platform to fully optimize it.
