Oklahoma Children's Services

Oklahoma Children's Services (OCS) is a community-based contracted services program authorized by Section 1-9-110 of Title 10A of the Oklahoma Statutes (10A O. S. § 1-9-110) available throughout Oklahoma. OCS is designed to meet a child's, parent's, or kin caregiver's needs directly related to the child's safety, permanency, and well-being, or to prevent the child from entering foster care. OCS are prevention and intervention-related culturally-relevant, home-based parent skill-based services available to families that are involved with the child welfare system and who have children identified to be at risk of abuse or neglect to help strengthen families and mitigate child maltreatment and family separation and/or those children who have been removed from their homes to help them move towards permanency. The OCS comprises of Comprehensive Home-Based Services (CHBS), Parent Aide Services (PAS), and Title IV-E Prevention Services. Referrals for OCS are made by OKDHS child welfare staff.
