2025 Summer Reading
The 2025 Summer Reading Program, themed "Color Our World," celebrates arts and creativity, offering a wide range of wonderful possibilities. This theme encourages readers to explore the vibrant and multifaceted world around them through the power of reading. Libraries across Oklahoma will host engaging events and programs designed to inspire expression and imagination, from hands-on crafts and interactive workshops to reading challenges with exciting prizes.
Participants are invited to unleash their creativity and dive into a summer filled with books that spark curiosity and connection. Visit your local library to join in the fun and see how reading can add a splash of color to your world!
Local libraries utilize materials and program ideas developed by the Collaborative Summer Library Program to engage thousands of Oklahoma children in reading and discovery throughout their summer vacation. The Oklahoma Department of Libraries’ Youth Services Department plays a key role in distributing these materials to libraries across the state, supporting their efforts to keep young minds active and learning all summer long.
Oklahoma’s Statewide Summer Reading Program is sponsored by local libraries, community partners, the Oklahoma Department of Libraries, and the Institute of Museum and Library Services.
