Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program Income and Resource Level by Household Size
Allowable monthly gross income must be equal to or less than the following income standards that are 130 percent of federal poverty guidelines.
For a family unit with more than eight members, add $492 for each additional member.
Allowable Liquid Resource Level
Liquid resources in the form of cash on hand, checking or savings accounts, certificates of deposits, stocks, or bonds cannot exceed $3,750 for households that contain an elderly or disabled member and $2,500 for all other households.
1 Earned income deduction. Subtract $240 from the gross earned income of each employedhousehold member to determine the allowable monthly net income. Refer to Oklahoma Administrative Code (OAC) 340:20-1-11 for other deductible expenses households may be eligible to subtract from gross income.
