Administrative Letter 23-05

Dear providers,

As of Aug. 1, 2023, DDS no longer requires reporting of COVID-19 activities using the COVID-19 Reporting Letter and DDS.COVID.Reporting@okdhs.org email.

We appreciate your cooperation and use of these tools during the Public Health Emergency, and this reporting was vital to understanding the impact of COVID-19 to both individuals receiving and providing services.

Health events involving COVID-19 should now be reported using the Referral Form for Examination and Treatment or approved alternative and/or Incident Report, when applicable, per policies Health and Wellness 340:100-5-26 and Incident Reporting 340:100-3-34.

We ask that you remain aware of the impact of COVID-19 on services provided and continue to implement prevention and control strategies, when needed, as recommended by the Centers for Diseases Control and Prevention and Oklahoma State Department of Health.

Finally, if the impact of COVID-19 interrupts service recipient’s activities or services, we ask that providers inform the assigned DDS case manager.

If you have questions, please contact DDS Nursing Programs Administrator Tina Chance at tina.chance@okdhs.org or 405-208-1449.

Thank you for all you do for those we serve,

Beth Scrutchins, MSW
DDS Director
