Opening Forms Guidance: PC Users

Issue #1:

  • I Don’t Have Adobe Reader

Solution:

  1. Use link provided to download Adobe Reader
    https://get.adobe.com/reader/?promoid=WPHDJCG8&mv=other
  2. Follow instructions as prompted

Issue #2:

  • I Don’t Have the Latest Version of Adobe Reader
  • I Am Unable to Open the PDF


Solution:
Follow these instructions to set Adobe Acrobat Reader as the default application for opening PDF files.

Configure Firefox CONFIGURE CHROME
  1. In Firefox, choose Tools > Options.                                     
  2. In the Options dialog, click Applications.                              
  3. In the Applications tab, type PDF in the  search field.        
  4. For Portable Document Format (PDF) content type in the search result, select  Use Adobe Acrobat (in Firefox) from the Action drop-down list.
  5. Click OK.
  6. Restart Firefox.
  1. In Chrome, go to chrome://extensions/
  2. Next to the Adobe extension, slide the toggle to the right to enable


    * A blue switch indicates that the browser is now set to open PDFs

Issue #1:

Solution:

Follow these instructions to set Adobe Acrobat Reader as the default application for opening PDF files.

  1. Single click a PDF file you wish to open or any PDF file in general while holding the Control key.
    Then select Get Info from the menu..
  2. Click the drop down menu for Open With.
  3. Select Adobe Reader from the menu.
  4. Click on the Change All button to keep the changes
