Oklahoma Digital Prairie provides visitors unique digital content spanning more than 100 years of rich, vibrant history from the 46th state. The resource areas found here include archives, documents, photographs, newspapers, reports, pamphlets, posters, maps and audio/visual content. Content ranges from the late 1800s to the present day.

Through Documents.OK.Gov, you can access thousands of state government publications and documents that were available only through official Oklahoma state agency websites. Also included are digitized versions of other selected state print publications dating back to 1978. 

Archives.Ok.Gov is an online collection of selected publications and documents found in the State Archives at the Oklahoma Department of Libraries. This collection includes a selection of permanent records of state government activities, such as reports of agency activities and other records created by state agencies. These materials provide a glimpse in to the work of state government from its beginnings. The Archives.OK.Gov collection complements Documents.OK.Gov by providing pre-1978 access to Oklahoma government materials.

The Oklahoma Governors collection consists of information and archival finding aids related to each gubernatorial administration beginning with the state’s first governor Charles N. Haskell (1907-1911).


The State Archives and Records Management preserves the permanent records of state agencies and the executive, legislative, and judicial branches of Oklahoma’s state government. Records range from the 1890s until present These materials include records of most state agencies and constitutional officers, vividly reflecting the history of Oklahoma State government.


ODL publishes a thorough listing of all Oklahoma state agencies. ODL publishes the ABC Book: Agencies, Boards, and Commissions which includes listings for Oklahoma elected officers, cabinet, legislature, high courts, and institutions. View and download the searchable PDF online.
