Vaccine Provider Calls

The OSDH Immunization team thanks everyone who was able to attend the call for current COVID-19 Vaccination providers on Friday, November 5. If you could not make the call or would like to review information, please refer to the resources below:

• Providers are required to reconcile and order COVID-19 vaccines only once during the ordering time frame: Thursday, Friday or Monday. Deadline for orders is Monday at 5 p.m.
• Providers can order as much or as little as they need. If they need less than minimum order quantity, they still must order the minimum quantity in OSIIS and add a comment with the actual amount needed.
• Orders with at least minimum quantity, will be approved in OSIIS and directly shipped to providers- CHANGE IN THE PROCESS
• Orders with less than minimum quantity will be rejected in OSIIS with a note that the County Health Department (CHD) will deliver the order.  

• Using HL7 gives providers the ability to transfer and share data between providers with different software systems (E.H.R.’s).

• Include the provider name in the email as well as points of contact for your provider and vendor (if known).

• Providers will still need to reconcile inventory and order COVID-19 in OSIIS by Monday at noon.

• Providers can order as much as they need. If they need less than min order quantity, they still must order min quantity in OSIIS and add a comment with the actual amount needed.
• If a provider needs one vial, OSDH will deliver one vial!
• The cut off for providers to request any changes/cancellation to orders is Tuesday, 1:00 p.m.
• To request a change, a provider should email to OSDH VaccineHelp.
• All provider orders in OSIIS will be rejected on Tuesday with a note that County Health Department (CHD) will fulfill the order and will get in touch with them via email or phone.
• CHDs will deliver vaccines to providers on the same or the following week. Delivered by CHD employees, national guard, or courier service.
