Minimum Requirements
• Must be a citizen of the United States
• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Must have NO felony convictions, protective orders, or domestic violence incidents
• Must not have been convicted of DUI or DWI within the last 5 years
• Must be able to pass a background investigation
• Must be able to pass a drug screening; OMMA. This is a safety-sensitive job. 
• Not required to live within city limits, but would be preferable to live close. 
• CLEET certification is preferred, but not required
• Must have or be able to take and pass MMPI
• Must be able to work in a small town environment
• Must be willing to work all shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed
Key Responsibilities
Patrol assigned areas to deter crime and ensure public safety.
Enforce state, tribal and local laws, including traffic and criminal laws.
Respond to emergency calls such as accidents, disturbances, and thefts, and assisting with medical calls. 
Make arrests and transport arrestee to the county jail. 
Issue citations when necessary.
Collect evidence and interview witnesses.
Write clear and accurate reports.
Assist with ongoing investigations, including agency assist cases. 
Salary/Compensation (if available)
Certified Officer: $17.50 per hour 
Uncertified Officer: $16.00 per hour
